Your information is safe with us.
At Tenth Of October, we look after the personal information you share with us through our contact form, LINE, email and projects, in line with the Australian Privacy Principles and Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information. This page explains what we collect, why, and how we handle it.
Last updated: 14 October 2026
This website and our services are run by Tenth Of October, a design studio based in Adelaide, South Australia, operated by Moe Luick as a sole trader. For anything about your personal information, contact moe@tenthofoctober.com.au.
We only collect what we need to work with you:
We never ask for sensitive information such as health details. You are welcome to ask a question without giving your real name, but we will need your name and contact details to quote or work together.
If we ever want to use your information for anything else, we will tell you first and ask for your consent where needed. We will also always check with you before showing your project in our portfolio.
We never sell your personal information or give it to others for their marketing. We only share it:
We use the services below to run our business. Information may be stored or processed on servers outside Australia, mainly in the United States and Japan. Each provider handles data under its own privacy terms.
For enquiries that come in through LINE, we may use AI (Claude by Anthropic) to help draft a reply. The AI never replies to you on its own: Moe reads, edits and sends every message herself. Only the message content needed for the reply is passed to the AI. If you would prefer we do not use AI for your enquiry, just let us know.
To understand which pages are read and to improve the site, we use Google Analytics (Google LLC, United States). It uses cookies to collect information such as the pages you view, how long you stay, your approximate region, and your device and browser. We do not send your name, email address or other information that identifies you. Google handles this data under its own privacy policy.
If you prefer not to be measured, you can turn off cookies in your browser or install Google’s opt-out browser add-on. We do not use advertising cookies.
Your browser also stores a small setting to remember whether you chose Japanese or English, and this is never sent to us. Our fonts load from Google Fonts, so your device connects to Google’s servers when a page opens.
We keep your information in services protected by passwords and other safeguards, with access limited to the people who need it. Paper documents are destroyed once they are no longer needed.
Invoices and transaction records are kept for as long as Australian tax law requires (generally five years). Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted once we no longer need them.
If a data breach ever happens, we will contact anyone affected promptly and take the steps needed.
To see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to ask us to stop using it, email moe@tenthofoctober.com.au. Once we have confirmed it is you, we will respond within 30 days. If we cannot delete something, for example records the law requires us to keep, we will explain why.
We only send news or newsletters to people who have asked for them. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and we stop as soon as you ask.
If you contact us or work with us from Japan, we handle your information in line with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Your information is managed mainly in Australia and also processed by the overseas services listed above. An overview of Australia’s privacy system is available from Japan’s Personal Information Protection Commission. Feel free to ask us for more detail about how we keep your information safe.
If you have a question or a complaint about how we handle your personal information, email moe@tenthofoctober.com.au. We will look into it and reply within 30 days. General information about privacy in Australia is available from the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC).
We may update this policy when the law or our services change. Any important changes will be shown on this page.
