About the client

A craft brewery headquartered in Matsumoto, Nagano. It runs its own taprooms in the city and joins outdoor events with a mobile bar, brewing a varied lineup such as its Castle Stout, with a mission to energise the local community.

DESIGN POINTS

What we focused on

Two languages, one voice

The site was designed with English pages alongside the Japanese ones. Translation data and a spec sheet went to the developers together, so the experience feels the same in either language.

A short path to buying

On the lineup page, each beer links to the official online store and to the Rakuten store as well, so customers with different buying habits are guided straight to a place to buy.

Type consistent down to the digits

Dates and other numerals are set in PT Mono, keeping news and lineup details in the same tone. Within a simple layout, consistent typography carries the brand character.
