About the client

Sanroku is a kimono shop in Matsumoto, Nagano, founded in 1898 as Sanroku Gofukuten and in business for over 120 years. It offers furisode and hakama rental and sales, kimono, Japanese accessories and hair ornaments, with a focus on genuine quality and hospitality.

DESIGN POINTS

What we focused on

Calm tones, classic motifs

To avoid an overly pop look, the design is based on calm colours with classic Japanese patterns as accents, giving it the refined feel of a long-established kimono shop.

Playful for young visitors

So the young target audience can enjoy browsing, photos are stacked at slight angles and come to the front when clicked, a playful way to present the images.
